S.A.F.E. Firearm Program at KP

Kaiser Permanente views firearm safety as a critical public health concern because firearms are currently the leading cause of death for youth in the United States.

We are working to scale the S.A.F.E. Firearm program, an educational program about secure firearm storage that offers free locking devices to families. Pediatricians and other providers offer secure firearm counseling and free cable locks to support safe firearm storage, so unauthorized persons cannot access them, especially children.

Below are several resources you might find useful:
